We currently have an opening for a full-time Senior Project Manager to join our Site Development & Landscape Construction Division.

Job Description Summary:

A Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project management, including preparing tenders, estimates, construction schedules, project start up, etc. They adopt Gateman-Milloy Inc.’s project management policies and the use of systems, prepare project revenue targets and budgets, establish performance standards, and interpret project financial reports for executive management. Our Site Development team gets the opportunity to partner with awesome clients to create beautiful spaces. These include city parks, sports fields, landscapes and splash pads, just to name a few.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of civil site and landscape construction projects, keeping projects on budget and on schedule
  • Aid in the development and preparation of project proposals
  • Prepare tenders, estimates, Manage project startup, building permits
  • Coaching support staff with varied backgrounds and experience
  • Aid in developing and also overseeing project estimates and modifying the scope of work as necessary to minimize cost of construction
  • Manage project turnover to client and audit customer satisfaction
  • Report to executive management any concerns/trends with projects that may be critical to the business

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in estimating/project management in civil construction, landscaping or earthworks
  • Well organized and able to work well under pressure
  • Excellent computer proficiency, especially MS Word, Excel, Project. Proficiency in AutoCAD is an asset
  • Familiarity with relevant construction legislation
  • Knowledge of managing and interpreting contract documents
  • A university degree or college diploma in construction or civil engineering technology, or project management is required
  • C.E.T. and or equivalent combinations of technical training is an asset
