Completed in 2015, this project involved the removal of an existing natural turf field and the construction of a permanent air supported dome structure housing 1 (320′ x 220′) artificial turf field (that can be converted into 4 mini fields ) and a clubhouse building. Associated works included the construction of a grade beam foundation for the dome, site servicing, field sub-drainage network, asphalt paving, concrete curb, exterior track surfacing, fencing, planting, and sodding. Underground concrete vaults were constructed for air handling equipment as well as a clubhouse with office and change room facility. This project started in April 2015 under a tight deadline where we had to complete the majority of the work during summer break as the project was delayed by heavy rainfall in the early spring. The project was completed by October 3, 2015 for the grand opening at Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy (Markham Sports Dome) located at 5300 Fourteenth Avenue in Markham, Ontario.
