This project involved the demolition and removal and replacement of 8 existing paved tennis courts. Removal and earthworks involved the disposal of unsuitable non-bearing mixed material, topsoil stripping, cut/fill balancing and the pre-engineering of site areas requiring the bearing of structural fill for the construction of a cast-in-place concrete grade beam and the pavement profile of tournament level, competitive tennis courts. Courts were finished with coloured acrylic, new fencing and nets. The site also required wood and metal fencing, an armourstone retaining wall, and new electrical and gas services for the dome mechanical equipment.
